Acer’s new Swift 3 and Swift 5 offers 10th-Gen Intel Core processors and NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics
At the next@acer 2019 global press conference in Berlin in conjunction with IFA 2019, Acer has announced the updated Swift 3 and Swift 5 ultraportable laptops. Both thin, lightweight laptops now feature 10th-Gen Intel Core processors and NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics.
In addition to that, both models also get features like Thunderbolt 3, dual-band Intel Wi-Fi 6, as well as a battery life of up to 12.5 hours, with support for fast-charging.
Acer Swift 5
The new Acer Swift 5 is powered by up to a 10th-Gen Intel Core i7-1065G7 processor with Iris Plus graphics, as well as NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics and up to a 512GB PCIe SSD storage. It features a 14-inch Full HD IPS touchscreen display with a three-side narrow bezel and an 86.4% screen-to-body ratio.
The ultraportable laptop, which sports a lightweight magnesium-lithium and magnesium-aluminum alloy chassis, now weighs at just 990 grams, making it the world’s lightest 14-inch laptop, as claimed by Acer. It measures at just 14.55mm thin.
Swift 5 supports Windows Hello through a built-in fingerprint reader.
Acer Swift 3
Available in Steel Gray and Millennial Pink, the Acer Swift 3 features up to a 10th-Gen Intel Core i7-1065G7 processor with Iris Plus graphics and an optional NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics. It weighs just 1.19kg with a 15.95mm thin chassis.
The 14-inch Full HD IPS screen display laptop has 4.37 mm bezels and an 84% screen-to-body ratio. It comes with up to a 512GB PCIe SDD storage and a 16GB RAM.
Availability and Pricing
The Acer Swift 5 will be available in EMEA in September starting at EUR 899; in North America in November, starting at USD 899.99; and in China in Q3 starting at RMB 7,499.
The Acer Swift 3 will be available in EMEA in September starting at EUR 599; in North America in November, starting at USD 699.99; and in China in Q3, starting at RMB 4,999.
